In 2010, the Plattsburgh Community Garden at Melissa Pennfield Park was proud to host a teaching garden project developed by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County. The curriculum is part of the "Establishing Organic Teaching Gardens " Project funded by the Toward Sustainability Foundation. Out of our teaching garden, coordinated by Anne Lenox Barlow, Horticulture Educator and assisted by Alexander Scharf, came the completion of a Curriculum for community gardens, school gardens and other organizations to ensure all the bases are covered in the establishment of a teaching garden project.

Please feel free to use this great set of tools.

In addition to the curriculum, Alex compiled a beginners growing guide for Northern New York which includes all the information a beginning gardener needs for a successful crop.
