Plattsburgh Community Garden Group to present to School Board and Common Council

The Plattsburgh Community Garden Group has finalized its plan to seek a use agreement for a portion of the land at Bailey Ave. School for use as a community garden. To achieve the goals of the group to establish an allotment style community garden in the City of Plattsburgh for the growing season of 2009, the group has also requested assistance from the City of Plattsburgh government. To answer questions about these requests and to give a general overview of the plan for a community garden in the City of Plattsburgh the garden group will meet before the Common Council and the Board of Education.

Meeting Details

• City of Plattsburgh Common Council Meeting- March 10th at 5:15 PM at City Hall
• Plattsburgh City Schools Board of Education Meeting - March 26th at 6 PM at Board of Ed Building - 59 Braod St.

All residents who support the plan to establish a community garden in the City of Plattsburgh are encouraged to attend one or both meetings.
